One day, a curious little girl couldn’t contain her excitement any longer. She approached her mother with a secret that had been burning inside her. “Mummy, I have something important to tell you,” she whispered, hoping her mother would listen. However, her mother, preoccupied with something else, dismissed her for the time being, saying, “Not now, darling. Wait until Daddy gets home.”

Filled with anticipation, the little girl eagerly waited for her father’s return, holding onto her secret tightly. Finally, Daddy arrived, and her mother saw an opportunity to delve deeper into the matter. With a voice full of curiosity, she asked, “Now, dear, what were you saying about Daddy and the strange lady?”

Before Daddy could even speak a word, the mother interrupted, asserting, “You keep quiet – I’ll be talking to my attorney in the morning. Please continue, my dear,” as if preparing for a courtroom battle.

With a mischievous smile, the little girl began to recount her astonishing tale. “Well,” she started, “Daddy told me to stay downstairs while they went upstairs. But I couldn’t resist. I followed them, making sure Daddy didn’t notice me. And guess what I saw when I peeked through the keyhole?”

Intrigued yet trying to maintain composure, her mother replied in a sweet tone, “Oh, my clever girl! What did you see through the keyhole?”

Excitement filled the little girl’s eyes as she continued her tale. “I saw them hugging and kissing,” she revealed, “and then they started to take each other’s clothes off. They carried on until they had nothing on, and then the lady got on the bed, and Daddy got on top of her.”

Her mother listened attentively, waiting for the rest of the story. “Yes?” she urged. “And then what happened?”

With an air of confidence, the little girl exclaimed, “Then they did what you and Uncle Jack did when Daddy was in Vancouver last year!”

As the words hung in the air, the room fell quiet. The little girl’s innocent observation had revealed a hidden truth, opening a door to a world her mother never expected to confront.
