Miranda Lambert Makes Huge Career Change: ‘I Can’t Wait To See What The Next Adventure Holds,’ she says.

Miranda Lambert has parted ties with Sony Music Nashville, her longtime record label.

On Wednesday afternoon, the country singer revealed the news on social media (March 15).

“Sony has been my home in Nashville since I was 19 years old,” she wrote in her post. “During the last 20 years, we’ve created records that have allowed me to tell my narrative to the world, and we’ve achieved heights I never imagined were possible.”

Lambert thanked the Sony team for allowing her to pursue her aspirations for so long.

“I’m grateful for our time together and everything they made possible for me, but I wouldn’t be true to myself if I weren’t always seeking the next challenge and a new opportunity to expand my imagination,” she added. “With that in mind, I’ve bid goodbye to my Sony family. “I can’t wait to see what the next adventure has in store for me.”

The news was made alongside a graphic featuring all nine of her studio albums released under the Sony Music Nashville banner. Among those albums are the following:

Kerosene (2005)

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007)

Revolution (2009)

Four The Record (2011)

Platinum (2014)

The Weight Of These Wings (2016)

Wildcard (2019)

The Marfa Tapes (2021)

Palomino (2022)

Lambert’s most recent album, Palomino, was released to critical acclaim in April 2022. The album generated singles like “If I Was A Cowboy” and “Strange,” as well as fan favorites like “Actin’ Up” and “Geraldine.”

Miranda Lambert ascended to the pinnacle of the music industry during her time at Sony, earning seven No. 1 solo albums, ten No. 1 hit radio singles, and more than 70 significant awards. She is a three-time GRAMMY winner and the most-awarded singer in Academy of Country Music history, with 37 lifetime ACM Awards.

Lambert has also received 14 CMA Awards.

Miranda Lambert is celebrating nearly two decades as a country music superstar in Sin City with her Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas Residency, including a career-spanning setlist.

The 39-year-old hitmaker previously told Garden & Gun that she is enjoying her time in Las Vegas because it allows her to take a break from the arduous day-to-day tour life.

“It’s exhausting after twenty years of touring. “That’s one of the reasons I love the Velvet Rodeo shows,” she told Garden & Gun. “It’s a respite from the road, but I still get to do what I love and interact with the people.

This show was fun to put together since we could use some production elements [like pyrotechnics] that we hadn’t previously used on the road. I won’t be touring much during my residency, except for a few festivals here and there, so come to Sin City!”

Lambert’s presentation is a 90-minute celebration of her career, featuring songs from her debut album, Kerosene, to her most recent release, Palomino.

The “If I Was A Cowboy” singer’s residency began on September 23, 2022, and is scheduled to end in December of this year.

Lambert, Live Nation Las Vegas, and Caesars Entertainment will donate $1 from every ticket sold to “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino to Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that has raised more than $6 million since its inception in 2009.

The Foundation’s objective is to encourage the adoption of rescue pets, to help animal shelters around the country, to promote spay and neuter, and to aid with animal transportation after natural disasters.

In addition to her Las Vegas shows, Lambert will publish her debut book, Y’ALL EAT YET? This spring, welcome to The Beautiful B*tchin’ Kitchen. The book will give readers an inside glimpse at the ACM Triple Crown winner’s life at home and on the road. Readers will also discover more about her Texas background and how the strong women in her family affected her life and career.

“I observed how pitching in, working together, embracing music, and being there for one other is the best gift you can have in life by seeing my mom and her friends. “I believe my mother received that gift from her mother because they both attracted the most amazing group of girlfriends,” she previously stated.

ARE YOU EATING YET? will also include 50 recipes from her kitchen, including Nonny’s Banana Pudding, Paw Paw’s Bar-B-Q Sauce, and Whiskey Cupcakes. The novel will be published on April 25, 2023.
