Cody Longo, who was most known for playing Nicholas Alamain in Days of Our Lives in 2011, died at 34. His agent, Alex Gittelson, announced his passing.

His death’s cause has now been identified. Longo died from chronic alcohol consumption, according to TMZ. According to the autopsy report that TMZ acquired, he died naturally due to “chronic ethanol abuse.”

“Before becoming a client, Cody was a close buddy. My heart aches for his wonderful wife and children. He had taken a break from acting to focus on his music business and spend more time with his family in Nashville.” Still, Gittelson and he had maintained regular contact, and he was eager to return to acting.

Gittelson commended Longo, calling him a “loyal, loving and talented person” who cherished his family—wife, children, and fans. In the upcoming movie Killing Games, he was slated to play Luke with Chelan Simmons, Garrett Clayton, Tiffany Hines, Jordan Hayes, Hayley Hasselhoff, and Robert Vito.

Both an actor and a singer, Cody Longo, who was occasionally given the name Cody Anthony, possessed exceptional talent. Between 2010 and 2012, he was the keyboardist for a band named Forever the Day. He disbanded the group and secured a solo career contract with Mirrorball Entertainment.

He released several singles over the following several years that gained popularity, including his first singles, “Atmosphere,” “Falling Into You,” and “She Said.” He had already established himself as a successful actor, appearing in several well-liked movies and television shows.

Cody married Stephanie Clark, the love of his life, in October 2015. The couple’s three children—a 7-year-old daughter named Lyla, a 5-year-old son named Elijah, and a 19-month-old son named Noah—arrived throughout the previous seven years. They frequently shared pictures of their kids.

“Cody was everything to us. I am completely heartbroken and shattered, along with the kids. He was a great father and a great parent.” In a statement released after learning of his loss, Clark said, “We will always and forever miss and love you. With the help of Stephanie, Lyla, Elijah, and Noah, his legacy will endure.”

Even though Cody Longo had just turned 34 years old when he went away, he had already accomplished a great deal in his life and work, some of which have previously been mentioned. He starred in Hip Hop Kidz: It’s a Beautiful Thing 2006 as Eddie, a dancer, and then as Dave in Ball Don’t Lie in 2008.

With roles in Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, Fame, Medium, Make It Or Break It, and Three Rivers, 2009 was a strong year for the actor. He took Joe Jonas’ spot on Brothers & Sisters the next year and had parts in High School and Piranha 3D. Since then, he has made several more TV and movie appearances.

He appeared in 78 episodes of Hollywood Heights as Eddie Duran, arguably his biggest acting achievement. His final film roles were in Death House and Rich Boy, Rich Girl, while his final TV roles were in Nashville, The Catch, and Secrets and Lies.

The 34-year-old, unfortunately, battled alcoholism for the last few years of his life, which ultimately caused his death on February 8, 2023. After being charged with sexually assaulting a kid, he was also detained and accused of domestic assault. The family and friends who knew him will always miss him.
