Meghan Markle Declines to Return to the UK

There’s quite a buzz around the royal family, particularly Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent movements. Many people who’ve followed the royals closely believe Prince Harry has a yearning to return to the United Kingdom. But from what we’ve heard, Meghan Markle seems to have her own agenda.

While there are stories swirling that Prince Harry wishes to go back to his roots in the UK, it seems his wife Meghan has decided against the idea entirely. A royal author has even suggested that she “never wants to set foot in England again.”

Back in 2020, Harry and Meghan made waves across the globe when they announced they’d leave the UK for good, setting up their new home in sunny California. Together with their two children, Archie and little Lilibet, they’ve settled into life in the United States.

Since their move, Harry and Meghan have shared some candid revelations about their experiences with the Royal Family. Their claims caused quite a stir, with a mixed bag of reactions coming their way. Yet, despite all the chatter and criticism, Meghan has stood by everything she’s said.

It’s not that Prince Harry has completely cut ties with his homeland. Over the past few years, he has made multiple trips back. After he was faced with a significant health scare, Harry returned to see his father, King Charles, and openly expressed his affection for his family.

Some royal aficionados are convinced that Harry’s heart is still in the UK, although it appears Meghan may not share the same sentiment. The Duchess seems to be a major factor in Harry’s decisions regarding his stay in the US.

The last time Meghan made her way back to the UK was a somber occasion in 2022 when she attended the funeral of the beloved Queen Elizabeth. After that, Harry’s visits back home have been by himself, without Meghan at his side.

In his revealing Netflix documentary, Harry opened up about the complex relationships within the Royal Family. He mentioned something called “unconscious bias” that made him feel more like part of the issue than part of any solution.

Omid Scobie, who penned the book Endgame, provided some insights into Meghan’s feelings. According to Scobie, Meghan never really felt like England was her home and seems quite firm in her resolve not to return.
