A devastating accident in Manitoba, Canada has resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives. The incident occurred when a bus carrying elderly passengers collided with a truck near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.
The passengers, who were on their way to a casino in Carberry, were met with tragedy when the collision took place. Rob Hill, Deputy Police Officer and commander of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba, confirmed the fatalities, stating, “At least 15 individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the collision.”
In addition to the lives lost, ten people are currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital. Thankfully, both drivers survived the crash, although authorities are still investigating to determine who was at fault.
The scene of the accident paints a harrowing picture. Wheelchairs and walkers lay destroyed, while tarps cover the bodies of the victims. It is a heart-wrenching sight that reminds us of the fragility of life.
