Have you ever noticed something strange in your home and immediately wondered what it could be? I know I have! Whether it’s a strange mark on the wall or a peculiar smell, these things can often cause us to worry about potential problems and expenses down the line.

Now, the kitchen is an area where we want to have full control over everything that’s happening, especially when it comes to food preparation. So, naturally, discovering inexplicable marks or strange things in this space can be quite alarming.

The homeowner in question found a series of black dots and turned to the Facebook group ‘WeLoveMrsHinch’ for answers. She asked, “Does anyone have any idea what these points might be? They first appeared on the kitchen tiles, then on top of the PC we keep in the kitchen this morning.”

Luckily, there were other helpful Facebook users who were able to provide some insight into the situation, although their answers might not have been what she was hoping for.

“Look over it and you will probably find a spider,” one person commented. “It happens a lot this time of year, spiders pooing everywhere,” another added. Yes, you read that right. Spider droppings.

As it turns out, spiders don’t leave solid droppings like other animals do. Instead, their droppings are thick and liquid, resembling dark ink stains that can be found on walls and surfaces. According to the Pest Guidance website, spider droppings can come in different colors, including black, brown, white, or grey, depending on the species. These droppings are a combination of food and waste materials released from the spider’s body.

Who would have thought that spiders could leave behind such peculiar marks in our homes? But don’t worry, now that you know what it is, you can easily clean it up and keep your kitchen looking spick and span.

And remember, it’s always better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to our homes!
