60-year old Larry Green has been homeless for over twenty years. He was used to people just walking past and ignoring him on the streets until a local stylist decided to stop and talk to him.
Kindness is a virtue that can be hard to find in today’s world, where most believe that it’s every man for himself. This has made us forget even just one small act of kindness, that may not seem like a very big deal to us, can brighten someone’s day or also change their whole lives.
60-year old Larry Green from Dallas has been homeless for more than twenty years. He was used to people just walking past and ignoring him on the streets until a local stylist known as Mrs. Hot Hands decided to give him a makeover with the hope that it would somehow inspire him to turn his life around. She said that she and her team just wanted to make him see that he can still be appreciated even though he may not be financially stable right now.
So, as an early Father’s Day gift, Larry, who is a father of four, grandfather of eleven and a great grandfather of three, was given a makeover that completely transformed his appearance. His overgrown hair was cut, and his bears were shaped up. Larry’s special weekend also included getting new clothes, having dinner with friends, and staying at a hotel overnight.
He said that the kind gesture from Mrs. Hot Hands let him knew that he “was still human.” The stylist was like a God-sent angel in Larry’s life, as the man is now determined to get his life back on track.
