Big Ed Brown, one of the stars of TLC’s hit show “90 Day Fiancé,” has announced that his engagement to Porscha Raemond is off, just one week after popping the question at a restaurant. In an Instagram post, the 59-year-old reality star shared that he had reflected deeply and realized that rushing into the decision was a mistake. Despite the break-up, he expressed his respect and love for Porscha.
In a follow-up video, Big Ed admitted that his impulsive proposal was not what he truly wanted and that it was too soon for such a commitment. He described the romance as a whirlwind moment and thanked his fans for their continued support throughout the journey.
Their love story began just a week ago during a paid appearance at a sandwich shop in Florida. Porscha walked into the shop, approached Big Ed with open arms, and even gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. They hit it off instantly, and he asked her to hang out the following night. Little did he know that, encouraged by a friend, he would be proposing to her that night with a makeshift engagement ring made out of a paperclip, courtesy of the restaurant manager.
The proposal, caught on video and shared on TMZ, received mixed reactions. Some viewers believed it was forced and staged, but Big Ed reassured everyone that it was the real deal. He described meeting Porscha as love at first sight and called her his dream girl.
